Terms of Service and End User Licence Terms

1. Parties and acceptance

These Terms govern use of the FurSense Owner App and the invitation-only FurSense Vet App. The provider is:

Legal name and postal address: email contact@fursense.tech

By downloading or using an app, you agree to these Terms and Apple’s applicable Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Additional professional terms apply to Vet App users and are accepted in the Vet App.

2. The Owner App

The Owner App helps users maintain dog profiles and care records, view educational material, use clearly labelled analysis tools, record walks and environmental context, find nearby veterinary services, prepare reports, and, where available, request an asynchronous review from a selected FurSense veterinary partner.

Owner-facing AI output and scanner results are informational or unconfirmed hypotheses. They are not a diagnosis, prescription, treatment plan, medication dose, guarantee of safety, or substitute for a veterinarian.

3. Veterinary Review

Veterinary Review is not an emergency service. Do not wait for an app response where an animal may need urgent care. Contact a local veterinarian or emergency animal hospital.

The owner must provide accurate information, select the intended professional recipient, and review the evidence and disclosures before submission. Availability depends on jurisdiction, partner verification, capacity, case suitability, network/backend availability, and professional acceptance. Photographs may be insufficient and an in-person examination may be required.

Private Google Gemini decision support is available only to the assigned authorized professional. It is not an owner-facing opinion. The professional independently authors the response delivered to the owner. FurSense does not offer prescriptions, medication dosing, or video consultation through this workflow.

4. The Vet App and professional responsibilities

The Vet App is invitation-only. Professional users must:

  • use only the account issued to them and keep credentials and MFA authenticators secure;
  • maintain truthful, current licence, clinic, jurisdiction, and availability information;
  • access only assigned cases and protect owner and case confidentiality;
  • independently assess evidence and author responses without presenting AI output as their own examination;
  • work within their licence, contract, jurisdiction, competence, and applicable professional rules;
  • state limitations and recommend in-person or emergency care when appropriate; and
  • avoid prescriptions, dosing, or services outside the implemented FurSense workflow.

Access may be restricted or removed when verification, licence, membership, contract, MFA, jurisdiction, assignment, or terms requirements are not satisfied.

5. Accounts and acceptable use

Owner users may use Sign in with Apple or limited guest access. Veterinary Review requires an eligible durable Apple-linked Firebase account. Vet users sign in using their issued professional credentials and MFA.

You must not:

  • access another person’s account or case;
  • bypass subscriptions, authorization, App Check, MFA, or usage controls;
  • upload unlawful, harmful, misleading, or rights-infringing content;
  • use the service to provide unauthorized veterinary services;
  • scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the service except where law expressly permits;
  • introduce malware or misuse signed URLs or notification routes; or
  • use AI or app output as a substitute for required professional judgment.

6. User content and licence

You retain any rights you hold in the content you submit. You grant the provider a limited licence to host, copy, process, transmit, format, and delete that content as needed to provide the requested features, secure and operate the service, comply with law, and apply the retention process described in the Privacy Policy.

Only submit content you are permitted to use. Avoid including people or unrelated private information in pet photographs.

7. Cloud AI and external services

Optional cloud-AI features use Google Gemini through Firebase Cloud Functions. Where the app presents just-in-time consent, choosing Not Now leaves the photo on the device and does not start that upload. A model result may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unavailable.

The apps also depend on Apple, Firebase, Open-Meteo, map/place providers, Safari, and other external services. Their availability and handling practices are governed by their own terms. FurSense does not control external websites, maps, weather observations, or provider uptime.

8. Subscriptions and payments

Apple processes subscriptions through StoreKit. The Owner App offers a monthly plan and a 6-month plan. In the United States the reference prices are $9.99 per month and $39.99 every six months. Localized prices, billing periods, trial or offer eligibility, purchase confirmation, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are shown or handled by Apple.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple before the deadline shown by Apple. The Owner App displays a monetary amount only after StoreKit supplies the localized product price. Restore Purchases and links to these Terms and the Privacy Policy are available in the app.

Feature packaging may change prospectively, subject to applicable law and clear purchase-screen disclosure.

A subscription does not guarantee professional Veterinary Review availability, acceptance, response time, or unlimited professional reviews.

9. Safety and emergencies

You remain responsible for decisions about an animal’s care. Seek prompt professional help for suspected poisoning, breathing difficulty, collapse, seizures, severe bleeding, significant trauma, or other urgent signs. Do not administer medication or delay care based on app content.

Location, weather, Sound Guard, motion, camera, AR, and model outputs have device, signal, environment, and evidence limitations. Sound Guard is not a calibrated sound-level meter or hearing assessment. Plant and item photographs cannot establish identity, ingredients, dose, exposure, or safety.

10. Reports, exports, and records

Owner-generated summaries and PDFs may contain owner-entered or model-assisted content and should be reviewed before sharing. Veterinary Review PDFs contain the separate veterinarian-authored response and version information, not the private AI report.

Exports may not include security credentials, provider-held information, or private professional decision support. Users are responsible for safeguarding files after exporting, downloading, or sharing them.

Professional responses may be preserved with append-only corrections. Account deletion does not necessarily require deletion of records that must be retained under applicable professional, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal obligations.

11. Intellectual property

The apps, branding, code, interfaces, and provider-authored content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except where law permits, no licence is granted to copy, distribute, sell, decompile, or create derivative works from the apps. External content remains the property of its respective owner.

12. Availability, changes, and termination

Services may be interrupted, changed, suspended, or withdrawn for maintenance, security, provider availability, legal requirements, or product changes. We may restrict access for material violation of these Terms or professional requirements. Users may stop using the apps, cancel subscriptions through Apple, or request account deletion through the applicable app.

Material Terms changes may require fresh acceptance. Changes do not remove mandatory consumer rights.

13. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the apps and non-professional informational features are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that model, weather, map, directory, or educational outputs will be complete or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms do not override consumer protections that apply where you live. A specific governing-law clause is not stated on this page.

No separate court is designated here. Write to contact@fursense.tech to raise a complaint.

Mandatory rights and local consumer protections continue to apply where they cannot lawfully be waived. Contact contact@fursense.tech first if you wish to raise a complaint.

15. Apple terms

Apple is not responsible for operating or supporting FurSense. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as they relate to the licensed iOS apps and may enforce the applicable licence terms. Apple remains responsible only for obligations it has under its own terms and applicable law.
